Nā Hōkū Hanohano Award-winning Mana Music Quartet and top Hawaiʻi artists Kimié Miner, Kalani Peʻa, Keilana, Hāwane, Kalaʻe Camarillo and Jeff Peterson will come together for a special concert celebrating the release of Mana Music Quartet's newest album, 'Journey Through Hawaiʻi.' Featuring music and artists from the album and a special performance from the Wishmakers, the concert will take the audience on an adventure across Hawaiʻi, fostering a deep sense of love, appreciation and respect for our islands.
Mana Music Quartet is comprised of four internationally acclaimed musicians—Founder and cellist Joshua Nakazawa, violinists Eric Silberger and Mann-Wen Lo, and violist Duane Padilla. Joshua is the owner and founder of Mana Music LLC and is currently a tenured member of the Hawaii Symphony Orchestra. Dr. Mann-Wen Lo teaches violin performance as a professor at the University of Houston, and regularly performs as a chamber musician and soloist throughout the US. Virtuoso violinist Eric Silberger is a prize winner of the XIV International Tchaikovsky Competition, among others. He performs regularly worldwide as a soloist and chamber musician with renowned orchestras and musicians, in venues ranging from Carnegie Hall to the inside of a volcano. Duane Padilla, a 2011 Nā Hōkū Hanohano award winner for jazz album of the year currently serves on the board for the American String Teachers Association and teaches violin performance at the Punahou school.
Joining the performance will be Native Hawaiian artist, illustrator and visionary Solomon Robert Nui Enos. Watch him paint on stage live to the music while he captures emotions from the evening on canvas, and witness a piece of art come to life in the moment. The Mana Music Quartet featureʻs Solomonʻs work on both album covers "Journey Through Hawaiʻi" and "Queen Liliʻuokalani."
'Journey Through Hawaiʻi' continues a celebrated recording legacy for Mana Music Quartet. In 2021, their first album 'Queen Liliʻuokalani' won the Nā Hōkū Hanohano Award for Instrumental Album of the Year. Both albums are now available for purchase on most music streaming platforms including Apple Music, iTunes, YouTube Music, Amazon, iHeartRadio, Pandora and others, or online at www.manamusichawaii.com.
